2025: European Energy Framework and business opportunities for Finland
Wednesday
How does the European energy forum impact to the Finnish industry and economics – what should we know about it and what opportunities are there available?
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment (TEM), Business Finland and VTT organize in collaboration an overview on European Policy Framework, following the presentation given by Beatrice Coda, Head of Unit on Clean Energy Transitions, European Commission, on Monday 17.3.2025, and focusing on benefits to the Finnish society.
The European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan), EU Innovation funding and Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA) open opportunities for Finnish high-tech industry. European networks and partnerships, such as European Energy Research Alliance (EERA), different European Technology and Innovation Platforms, and partnerships of national research, development and innovation programmes like Clean Energy Transition and Driving Urban Transition bring networks and collaboration prospects. Business Finland’s programmes, with Flexible Energy Systems as most recent one, enable funding for improvement of competitiveness to the Finnish companies.
Presentations and the following panel discussion will bring strategic overview on European Energy context and also give examples of relevance of involvement both in European and national platforms and programs, and how funding instruments can benefit the Finnish industry.
