Massimo Danieli

Massimo Danieli is the Managing Director of the Grid Automation business unit, within the Power Grids division. He took up his present role in January 2016.

The Grid Automation business unit employs around 6,000 people across the globe, providing Grid Automation products, systems and service as well as Enterprise Software solutions for utilities, industries and transportation. As of January 2016 the Microgrids & Distributed Generation product group was also becoming an integral part of the business unit.

Massimo Danieli was the Global Business Unit Manager for the former Power Generation business unit from 2013 to the end of 2015. Prior to taking up this position he has since joining ABB in 1992 held various management roles across ABB’s Power Grids division in both Switzerland and Italy.
Massimo has a degree in Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
