Carolin Nuortila

Carolin Nuortila works as a Senior Researcher in the Fuel Division of the Efficient Powertrain Solutions’ (EPS) team in the School of Technology and Innovations, University of Vaasa. Within EPS we work on innovating the future of marine and off-road propulsion systems to meet the targets imposed by energy transition. We focus on all aspects of powertrain development from fuels, through combustion to emission and energy management. With unique fuel and engine laboratories with rapid prototyping tools, we are strategically positioned on bridge between fundamental level research on radically new technologies and their real-world implementation.
