Sören Mattbäck

Project Manager, Technology & Seafaring-RDI |

Sören Mattbäck works as a Project Leader in Sustainable Energy Technology (Electrical Engineering, Automation including Project and Business Development related to RDI) at Novia University of Applied Sciences’ Faculty of Technology and Seafaring (RDI). His portfolio contains development of education material and courses in e.g. hydrogen, e-fuels and robotics among other things. He has participated in development and deliveryof several energy related projects and has a vast background from the forest and energyindustry since end of the 80’s.

Sören has been with Novia UAS since 2020 and holds both a Bachelor of Electrical Engineer and a Bachelor of Automation degree from VTLA (aka Novia UAS today), including an MBA from Svenska Handelshögskolan in Helsingfors.

Novia University of Applied Sciences is a multidisciplinary and largest Swedish speaking university of applied sciences in Finland and has a well-established and renowned RDIorganization with broad technical knowhow and predominantly EU-funded projects. The Faculty of Technology and Seafaring RDI department specializes in applied RDI projects within emerging and sustainable technologies, with core competence in Sustainable Energy Technology (Process Engineering & Energy Transition), Intelligent Systems, Measurement Technology and Environmental Technology & Sustainability
