Teraloop is revolutionizing the world of energy storage, with an innovative and patented configuration of existing, proven technologies: MAGLEV, flywheels and brushless electric motors. It has been selected by the jury of Nordic Cleantech Open, as one of the top 25 companies, of the next generation in clean technology and business innovations from the Nordics and Baltics.

Teraloop Technology, consists of a large scale magnetically levitated rotor, which is charged and accelerated when surplus energy is available, then discharges into the grid when the energy is needed. The system will operate underground, presenting a minimal visual and environmental footprint.

Petri Saarinen is Teraloop´ Chief Development Officer, he has a background in two family-run engineering companies within Energy, Material handling and Geophysical measurement services. He has over 25 years’ experience in the power, field engineering and telecoms industries across Scandinavia, Europe and South America.
