Johan Saarela
Johan Saarela is a specialist in biogas, biomethane, and circular economy solutions, with extensive experience in renewable energy and sustainability. Since 2012, he has led development projects at Ab Stormossen Oy, focusing on biogas upgrading, waste-to-energy optimization, and the integration of biomethane into transport and energy systems.
Johan has extensive experience in project management, policy advocacy, and cross-border collaboration within the Nordic and Baltic biogas sectors. As a board member of the Finnish Biogas Association, he actively contributes to the biogas market development.
With an M.Sc. in Environmental Science and a B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering, Johan brings a technical and strategic perspective to the evolving energy landscape.
