Isabel Loureiro

Isabel is member of the Board of the Guimarães 2026 European Green Capital Mission Unit and President of its Scientific Committee. As General Coordinator of the Guimarães 2030 Mission Structure, she coordinated the Candidacy of Guimarães to the EGC title and she contribute to connecting the multiple components of the multi-governance ecosystem underpinning Guimarães 2030.

Isabel Loureiro works as expert for the European Commission, she is also an invited professor at University of Minho, where she is also member of the Industrial Engineering and Management Research and Development Line at Algoritmi research Centre. She is certified by Harvard Business School in Sustainable Business Strategy and by EIT- Climate  in Accelerating Transitions focusing on a systems level towards a low carbon society. Additionally, she holds a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering the University of Minho, Portugal.
