Henrik Sievers

Henrik Sievers is a business development professional and researcher at the University of Vaasa’s School of Technology and Innovations. He holds a PhD in Marketing from Aalto University (2015) and an M.Sc. in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics (1995). His expertise includes strategy, business modeling, service design, innovation management, and productization, combining academic research with industry experience at TeliaSonera, startups, and market research firms, as well as research roles at Hanken, Aalto, and the University of Vaasa.

His research focuses on dominant designs, innovation pathways, path dependence, new product development capabilities, organizational transformation, and ecosystem success. He contributes to the Transformation Design Energy Accelerator, promoting disruptive innovation in the energy sector. He has published in leading conferences and received recognition including the KSMS Doctoral Dissertation Honorable Mention (2016) and the EURAM Best Paper Award (2022)
