Engr. Hayatudeen Y. Ibrahim

A seasoned electrical engineer with 28 years of experience spanning power engineering, telecommunications, system operations, and strategic corporate leadership. He currently serves as Director of Corporate Services at the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), where he has driven transformative improvements in staff development, facility management, and organizational efficiency. His initiatives—including the introduction of computer‑based promotion examinations and enhanced welfare programs—have significantly elevated employee satisfaction and operational performance.

Before joining NAPTIN’s executive leadership, Engr. Ibrahim played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s national grid modernization efforts at the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). As Senior Manager (Communications) and Project Engineer on the World Bank‑funded SCADA project, he led the planning and implementation of critical telecoms infrastructure, fibre‑optic expansion, and regional control centre upgrades.

A registered COREN engineer and member of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and IEEE, he brings deep technical expertise in telecom network architecture, SCADA systems, power utility operations, and project management. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems and multiple international certifications in corporate management, operations strategy, fibre‑optic technology, and contract management.

Engr. Ibrahim is recognized for his strategic mindset, stakeholder engagement, and commitment to advancing capacity development within the power sector.
