Raine Hermans

Raine Hermans has extensive experience across academia, government, and industry, focusing on innovation ecosystems, technology commercialization, and cross‑sector business transformation. He also serves as Adjunct Professor of Innovation Management at Aalto University and has co‑authored nearly 50 scholarly publications in innovation management, economic geography, and foresight. His prior roles include serving as Managing Director for European operations at Xinova—a global network of 12,000 innovators—and holding senior leadership positions at Tekes, where he oversaw funding programmes, strategic intelligence, and regional operations. His patent portfolio includes five patent families, including work on aeroponic farming.
