Antonio Calo

Antonio Calò, PhD (Physics) MSc (Technology), is a post-doctoral researcher at the Water, Energy and Environmental Research Unit at the Faculty of Technology of the University of Oulu. His research and educational work focusses on smart and distributed energy systems, especially within the context of the northern environmental and climatic conditions. Taking full advantage of his multidisciplinary background, he current research interested focusses on the role nuclear energy could play within a sustainable energy system, in relation to the potential socioeconomic and environmental impacts of the so called fourth generation nuclear reactors (e.g. SMRs).”
