Rodolph Tanga

Jurist/ Climate change and Energy law expert, PhD candidate

A legal scholar from the University of Eastern Finland specialising in energy law, climate governance, and the impact of EU regulatory frameworks on African energy systems. His current research examines how EU energy regulations and policies shape renewable energy development in Nigeria and South Africa, with a focus on legal pluralism, electricity markets, and the transition to low carbon energy systems.

He has presented on renewable energy certification and green hydrogen regulation, at the 9th annual Energy Transitions Conference 2025, organised by the University of Eastern Finland. He brings extensive experience in human rights, environmental governance, and policy analysis across Cameroon and Finland. His work bridges law, climate policy, and practical energy transition challenges in African contexts.
