Van Oord Offshore Energy constructs offshore wind farms throughout the world. The scope of work can include the total Balance of Plant of an offshore wind project, being the supply and installation of the foundations, electrical infrastructure and the installation of turbines, or the separate packages.

In the Baltic Sea Van Oord’s installation vessel Svanen has installed the majority of the monopile foundations. In the coming years the Svanen will install foundations for two Polish projects, Baltic Power and Baltica 2. Next to this Van Oord is active in the development of offshore wind farms, for example the Saaremaa Offshore Wind Farm in Estonia.

Edwin van de Brug is regional manager for Van Oord Offshore Energy in North West Europe. He is active in offshore wind for over 20 years focusing on tenders and developments.
