Andrea Hernandez, Head of Strategy and Sustainability at Danfoss, will present Danfoss’ unique, three-step approach to decarbonization, and substituting fossil fuels is not the first step to take: it’s the last!

Decarbonizing Maritime Solutions:

This session explores the unique challenges and opportunities for emission reduction in the maritime sector. Leading innovators will share cutting-edge solutions for greener marine operations. Tapio Majaniemi, Business Development Director at WE Tech Solutions, will discuss emission reduction in shipping.

We will also deep dive into the EU-funded STEESMAT project, in which we develop a set of technologies and methodologies that will enable the deployment of onboard DC grids for large vessels to reduce GHG emissions and meet European environmental targets. Project also includes real-world testing and validation. Magnus Hortans, Senior Research Engineer at Danfoss will navigate us within this topic.

This session will delve into the critical role of energy storage in enabling the widespread adoption of renewable energy sources and the electrification of various sectors. Marko Lähteenmäki, Chief Executive Officer at Enico will elaborate on their role in this market of the future.

Electrifying Off-Road Mobile Machinery:

Tommi Kankaanranta, Global Technology Manager at Danfoss, will address the significant CO2 emissions from off-highway heavy-duty machinery utilized in construction, mining and forest industry. He will discuss strategies for electrifying these vehicles.
