Team Leader - Sustainable Energy Technology (Process Engineering)-RDI |

Cynthia Söderbacka works as a Team Leader- Sustainable Energy Technology (Process Engineering) at Novia University of Applied Sciences’ Faculty of Technology and Seafaring (RDI). Her project portfolio covers a wide range of sustainable energy solution topics, with topic specific expertise in renewable fuels such as biogas and Power-to-X and their value chains. In her work, she has had an opportunity to lead projects in both national & international collaborations in Europe & Africa, giving her an understanding of sustainability from a global perspective and the importance of taking into consideration local perspectives in global solutions.

Cynthia has been with Novia UAS since 2017 and holds a Master of Science (Technology)- Process & Chemical Engineering, Energy Technology from Åbo Akademi Universit.y

Novia University of Applied Sciences is a multidisciplinary and largest Swedish speaking university of applied sciences in Finland and has a well-established and renowned RDI organization with broad technical knowhow and predominantly EU-funded projects. The Faculty of Technology and Seafaring RDI department specializes in applied RDI projects within emerging and sustainable technologies, with core competence in Sustainable Energy Technology (Process Engineering & Energy Transition), Intelligent Systems, Measurement Technology and Environmental Technology & Sustainability.
