Nordic Pathways to Resilient and Decarbonised Energy Systems
Tuesday 17.3
14:30 16:00
Meeting Hall
The energy sector is undergoing a rapid transformation as the demand for sustainability, resilience, and innovation becomes ever more pressing. This seminar will offer a forward-looking perspective on how the Nordic regions can collaborate to navigate these changes and build stronger, cleaner energy systems for the future.
Organised by the University of Vaasa’s research and innovation platform VEBIC, the seminar brings together experts from policymaking, industry, and research to explore how Nordic countries can strengthen grid resilience, expand cross-border energy integration, and accelerate decarbonisation through collaboration. Key focus will be on flexibility, energy storage, smart energy solutions, clean hydrogen, and forward-looking policy strategies that drive a resilient, fossil-free energy landscape.
This seminar comes at a relevant moment, as the need for regional collaboration is increasingly important. It showcases the Nordic countries’ strong position in the global energy transition while drawing on international experiences to inspire further progress across the region. Through engaging presentations and interactive panel discussion, participants will gain perspectives on how innovation and cooperation can shape the future of Nordic energy systems.
Join us to connect with experts, exchange ideas, and explore pathways toward a sustainable and resilient energy landscape.
