2025: EnergyAcademy Presents: Back to the Future Roast!

Thursday 20 March

Art Hall

It’s here again, better than before and added with a little twist: Back to the Future Roast!

Do you want to know what the future talents really think and need when it comes to the area’s appeal and connections between studies, working life and RDI? Register for EnergyWeek’s networking & roast event!

The roastmasters, i.e. future talents, will roast the representatives of EnergyAcademy universities and companies: be prepared to be amused in our warm-hearted event!

This year, the audience will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite roastee, sharing their opinions on the best answers.

Share your moments from the event using #WeAreEnergyAcademy or tag Energy Academy Vaasa on LinkedIn. Let’s make some noise together!

Want to see who gets roasted?

Please find the program below and REGISTER FOR THE EVENT HERE IN JANUARY 2025!

PLEASE TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THAT REGISTRATION DOES NOT RESERVE YOU A SEAT, SO BE THERE EARLY ENOUGH! FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED…

PS. There’s also time to mingle/network at end of the event.

EnergyAcademy is a cooperation model between universities and leading companies in the Vaasa region.

It is designed to increase the appeal of the area to students and graduates as well as to create better connections between working life, RDI and young talents.

We bring together all six universities in Vaasa: University of Vaasa, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences, Novia University of Applied Sciences, Hanken School of Economics, University of Helsinki and Åbo Akademi University.

Companies and hubs involved are ABB, Danfoss, Etha, EnergyVaasa, Hitachi Energy, Merinova, City of Vaasa, Vaasan Sähkö, VASEK and Wärtsilä Finland.

The model is tightly connected to the Nordic Battery Belt, making Vaasa area an essential link in the sustainable value chain in Finland, Sweden and Norway.

Energy Academy insists on healing the planet for future generations – and making Vaasa a better place to live, study and work.
