Port of Raahe is one of Finland's busiest ports – thanks to year-round and regular connections, excellent rail and road connections, and certified and customer-oriented service. Raahe area is one of the largest wind power centers in Finland. Over 40% of Finland's wind power capacity is imported through the Port of Raahe. Investments are constantly being made in the Port of Raahe, which will enable the port to play a role as significant production and distribution center for e-fuels. Port of Raahe is developing also a world class Offshore Wind Hub that is designed to serve especially large-scale offshore wind projects in the Gulf of Bothnia.
