Data Center Infrastructure & Operations is EnergyWeek’s newest themed day and one of the most timely. As data center investments reshape regional energy infrastructure across Ostrobothnia and the Nordics, this day brings together the full ecosystem: developers, energy companies, grid operators, construction firms, technology suppliers and investors who are building and powering the next generation of datacenters.
The day covers the entire data centers lifecycle from site selection, planning and construction through to commissioning, operations and long-term energy management. Central to the programme is the relationship between data centers and the energy system: how do we ensure power availability, integrate renewable energy, recover waste heat for district heating networks and develop the grid connections these facilities require?
Key topics include:
- Data center design, construction and development
- Power availability and grid connections
- Renewable energy integration
- Backup power and energy security
- Waste heat recovery and district heating
- Grid development and load management
- Telecommunications and fibre infrastructure
- Data center operations and maintenance
- Investment, financing and regional development
The day is particularly relevant for companies offering power distribution, transformer and UPS systems, cooling and HVAC solutions, building and project management services, automation and control systems, fibre and telecommunications infrastructure, energy management and optimisation, heat recovery and district heating solutions, and cybersecurity services.
Data Center Infrastructure & Operations is the meeting point for those shaping how the next generation of data centres are built, powered and integrated into the future energy system.
